Replaced all the old weather stripping by taking out the old weather stripping, cutting to exact size, and reinserting into the track. Easy!

I have used these dog doors for probably 15 years. I have installed through the wall style and door styles. I have NEVER found a better door!
Much better with the metal hinges. Previously the flaps were not very durable. I strongly recommend that the instructions state removing the frame for the replacement of flaps. It’s too frustrating to attempt to do in place. I struggled until I realized that removing the frame was the best option.
We have installed the Security Boss dog doors at multiple houses over the past 10 years. It not only provides easy access by my American Brittany dogs, the double flap keeps the weather including wind outside. Customer service at Omniapaws is very responsive. I highly reccomend this dog door.

When you commit to cutting a hole you your wall, you want to make sure you’re not buying some cheap plastic dog door that’ll break in a year. This dog door is built very well to provide years of service. All aluminum, a nice and thick slide in security door. The install took me about 3hrs with taking my time and it was super easy. We are very happy that we spent some extra money on this upgrade to our home and it was a nice gift for the 2 miniature schnauzers we own.
All was good. Great product, and better price (including tax and shipping) than I could find anywhere else.

I will start off and say that my sliding door (Anderson brand sliding door from the late 1990s) is a bit atypical and I was not able to install the doggy door using the instructions provided. The screws used to adjust the roller position sit in teh inside corners of the screen door so installing the doggy door as instructed would have meant that I would not have been able to adjust the roller position. Instead I was able to use the parts that came with the doggy door to install it centrally in the door and not one of the two bottom corners. The door is mounted very securely and is very ridgid and should last a very long time. I'm extreamly happy with the result (I prefer the door centrally mounted vs. the corner mount) and the door works really well. Training our two dogs was fairly easy, so they figured out that they can use the doggy door, but I just need them to realize that they can come in and go by themselves without me standing there and encouraging them.
I had a great experience with the online ordering process and the door was high quality. The only issue on installing the door was the metal tunnel was not clear on the instructions.
unfortunately, I measured the opening but not the size of the actual pet door. I am having some problems with deciding to return it or have the door look bad from the former pet door.
The door is high quality and looks great. The install was simple and the outcome looks good. It does a really good job of keeping the cold air out and we don’t notice a transfer of temperature through it. Overall 5 stars so far!
The dog door is a lifesaver and I appreciate being able to purchase replacement flaps. If you could just work on your shipping fees all would be great.

The training flap that I was sent has holes that do not match up with my door's flaps. Also, the permanent flaps appear to be attached with rivets and not removable!

I had a simple(cheap) 1 flap from a chain store in my other house. I recently moved and due to colder winters wanted a better dog door as my other one the wind would move the flap. Researched and found the Boss Security & liked what i saw. I was not disappointed! Great heavy duty construction, dogs have no problem with the dual flap, & the wind does not move this one! I love that it came with indoor/outdoor carpet to complete the inside so it looks great and is comfortable for the doggos! Very true that you get what you pay for and this door was absolutely worth it!
Why would you send individual fasteners? You pretty much have to uninstall when who set up. That’s not what you used on original install with the strip and silicone, that I ended up reusing once I figured out it was just taped on. Please use the kiss technique instead of the cheap technique, you’re going to sink your company.
I have replaced the flaps on my dog door 4 times in 10 years because the rubber wears out from flexing so much. The dog door is a little small compared to the recommended size for my dogs. I am hoping with the hinge it will be less of a problem.
I wish the mounting hardware fit better on the metal. It was difficult to keep the nut in place while installing the hinge. I ended up taping them in place to hold while I inserted the hinge and the screws.

I bought this for my dogs, when I bought the door because they had never used a doggy door before. Turned out I didn’t need it. I was able to get them to use the door that come on the Max Pro. It’s a good quality door. You would have to take the original off its hinged and put the training one on. I was leery on doing that because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get the original back on correctly. So I never used it.
